Fatma’s story
My name is Fatma. I came to the UK as a refugee from Sudan. I have a six year old son. It was difficult for me as English is very different to Arabic. The writing is different, the reading is different, and the language is different.

After I attended the MOT+50 at the Job Centre in February 2024, we were made aware of the transferable skills we might have. So I thought it would make so much sense to improve my transferrable skills and I realised that I needed to learn more about Digital Skills. So I asked my work coach if they could help me find a course and they sent me to Train2Work Academy Centre.
Alia’s journey to independence
