English for speakers of other languages aims at helping to improve the reading, writing, and oral communication of people who speak English as a second language from entry level to Level 2 and to progress to further courses or into work.

If you wish to apply for British Citizenship or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), you need to demonstrate your knowledge of life in the United Kingdom as well as proving that your English speaking and listening skills are adequate to cope with the challenges of everyday life.
From 28 October 2013, there will be two parts to the Knowledge of Language and Life in the UK requirement, both of which must be met by all applicants for settlement and naturalization unless the individual is exempt. From this date applicants will be required to:
pass the Life in the UK test
AND
have a speaking and listening qualification in English at B1 CEFR or higher, or an equivalent level qualification.

Our ESOL Courses
We offer combined English Language (ESOL) with Citizenship Classes. All students are assessed by an experienced teacher at the enrolment session. Students are placed on courses after completing initial assessment, if for any reason you are unsure about your level of English our experienced tutors will guide you to the appropriate level.

Entry Requirements
There is no formal entry requirement for this course. You will be asked to bring along identification documents (UK driving license or passport) and one passport-size photograph.
